Civic News Compass is a community-based initiative addressing disinformation, misinformation, and media manipulation in Chinese-language civic news in the United States. Through a series of educational and creative media literacy workshops, the project supports Chinese-speaking communities in developing the skills to interpret, question, and verify local news, while navigating civic information with greater confidence and care.

Created in collaboration with community partners across New York City, including Think!Chinatown in Manhattan Chinatown, A Space in Brooklyn Chinatown, and Eglance Bookstore in Flushing, the project creates accessible knowledge on media literacy.
